Electrify Video Partners was proud to be a sponsor of Open Sauce 2024 held this year in Cow Palace, just outside San Francisco. In only its second year, the annual celebration of everything STEM and Maker brought 20,000 STEM and Maker YouTubers and their fans together for three days of talks by creators like Adam Savage and Mark Rober, workshops, demonstrations, exhibits, and meet and greets.
To help kick off the event, Electrify sponsored a welcome party in the Round Up Room at Cow Palace for creators with over 150 guests including William Osman, The Backyard Scientist, Allen Pan, NileRed, ElectroBOOM, Michael Reeves, Emily the Engineer, Tibees, Colin Furze, TierZoo, Brian McManus (of Practical Engineering) Derek Muller (of Veritasium), Alex McColgan (of Astrum), Kyle Hill, Evan and Katelyn, and Astra Alexandra.
Seeing creators come together felt like a true reunion of friends and peers, some of whom were meeting in person for the first time but who admire each other’s work from afar. There were a lot of stories swapped, content ideas shared, and a palpable effusion of appreciation among this community of creators seeking to make STEM fun and approachable for all.
In addition to the talks and workshops, the halls of Cowboy Palace were abuzz with excitement over the incredible exhibits of original homemade innovations and experiments including a driveable bunk bed, full humanoid robot, a chicken frying robot, and life-sized fully functioning Lego Batman and Superman costumes. Overall, Open Sauce was a refreshingly exciting, whimsical, and inspiring event for creators, fans, and innovators that has already made its mark as a must-see event. We’re already looking forward to joining again next year!
